Founder & Lead Fabricator
Hi, I'm James — the fabricator behind Nottingham Metalworks. I've worked in the metal fabrication industry for over 17 years, specialising in designing, fabricating and installing bespoke architectural metalwork across Nottingham and the surrounding areas.
My experience covers MIG, TIG and MMA welding, which means I can work across a wide range of fabrication projects — from structural and commercial work through to detailed residential pieces. Over the years I've built a particular specialism in gates, railings, balustrades, handrails and Juliet balconies, and I'm proud that a large proportion of our work comes through recommendation.
Outside of the workshop I enjoy spending time with my family and travelling when I get the chance. I'm always looking for ways to improve the business, develop new skills and explore innovative ideas within the metalwork industry.

The way we work
At Nottingham Metalworks, we take pride in guiding customers from the initial conversation right through to the completed installation. Every project starts with a site visit — we measure up, discuss your design ideas and give you honest advice about what will work best for your property and budget.
Everything is fabricated to order in our workshop. We don't sell off-the-shelf products. That means every gate, railing or balcony we produce is made specifically for you — cut and welded to the exact dimensions of your opening, finished to the standard you've chosen, and installed by the same team that built it.
We use quality materials and finishes throughout. Our metalwork is properly primed before painting so it performs for years rather than months. When we put our name to a job, we expect it to still look good long after we've left the site.

Where we work We're based in Nottingham and cover the wider Nottinghamshire area as standard, including Beeston, West Bridgford, Carlton, Arnold, Hucknall and Long Eaton.
